Research and innovation project
Innovative agrivoltaic systems for sustainable vineyards
AgriVOL.TEC combines photovoltaic energy production, adaptable structures, digital monitoring and vineyard cultivation.
The project
What is AgriVOL.TEC?
AgriVOL.TEC develops an agrivoltaic solution designed for vineyards. The project studies crop needs, structural systems, photovoltaic tracking, sensors, digital control and environmental performance.
The objective is to produce renewable energy while protecting agricultural productivity and supporting more efficient use of water, land and digital technologies.
Main goals
Project objectives
AgriVOL.TEC connects agricultural requirements, structural innovation, renewable energy, digital monitoring and environmental assessment.
Define vineyard requirements
Identify crop, climatic, operational and structural requirements for introducing agrivoltaic systems in vineyards.
Develop an adaptable structure
Design a metal or hybrid support system suitable for vineyards, photovoltaic panels and single-axis tracking.
Design and test prototypes
Use CAD, numerical analysis and laboratory testing to develop and validate the main structural and technological components.
Implement smart monitoring
Measure air temperature, humidity, solar radiation, soil conditions, panel position and photovoltaic energy production.
Create a digital platform
Integrate sensor data in a platform for visualisation, photovoltaic tracking, irrigation support and decision-making.
Validate sustainability
Assess the demonstrator through technical validation, life-cycle assessment, life-cycle costing and impact evaluation.
